P0016 & P000B codes.
New member here so first hello everyone!! I recently had a collapsed lifter in 2011 dodge charger police 5.7 that ate into the intake lobe of my camshaft. I replaced everything exactly to manufacturers specs and since i have had the p0016 & p000b codes as well as p0300 and p0301, although i feel that they are related to the first two choices. I took to my mechanic almost 2 weeks ago and the only thing they've done is move my car from where i parked to the side and I'm getting to where i need my car back. Any advice on what to do anyone?

How many cam sensors does your car have? I would think just one.... but, the second code refers to 'bank 1'..... Puzzling.
The first code talks about crank/cam relationship, so, basically, the computer thinks the cam and crank are not synced properly...... Given that you probably have the VVT system as well, is there some specific procedure you need to go thru to install the timing chain? Or initialize the sensor?? |

How is your oil pressure? What weight oil did you put in after the work was done? The P000B code talks about oil pressure issues possibly setting the code..... or, a 'slow reacting' cam position sensor. Did you get your sensor from the parts store? Or is it a genuine mopar unit?

In the car now and the oil pressure is at 51psi. it's wasn't a sensor i replaced, it was the oil control valve solenoid as d its not a mopar unit. |
Oh, in that case, I would take a close look at the sensor, and wiring to it.......
