I'v got problems please help!
when I first bought my charger RT I noticed a wiggle in the front suspension. I took it to Dodge about six times and they thought that I was crazy and told me that there was not a problem. I told them to check the tires and they kept my car for 5 days and returned as fixed. Saying that the tires needed to be matched to the rims.(What a crock of crap!) Now the ESP,BAS,and ABS lights are on and the car thinks its slipping all the time. I am going to take it and have the problem fixed by Dodge but I was woundering if anyone has had this similiar problem. Also When I turn on the rear window defroster my radio goes static! I also had them check this out and they say all the chargers do this. Is that True? Please everyone check and tell me if it is standard that all the radios and defrosters do this. Thanks hope that someone can tell me the truth and not blow smoke up my skirt!

they are tellin you some crap! I get no static with any defroster on,or BAS/ESP unless I want it !!!!!

I don't get any static with the rear defrost. But on really cold days my engine will rev up and down as I turn the heat up and down. Still haven't heardanything about that one.

Have them check the alignment. Mine was very difficult to hold in a straight line on the highway - very twitchy - to the point where if I hit a bump, it would knock the car off line. Turns out that my toe was set to negative 1, i.e., -1 decree. That apparently was the original spec on it, but had been changed to zero degrees toe in. I found this out when visiting my son who works at a Ford dealership. They put it on their machine and their specs said zero. Now, she runs straight and true and I don't have to constantly fight it. It's a real pleasure to drive on the highway now.
If this sounds like your problem, again, have them check the toe in/out on it. Let us know how it all turns out. dave PS: I still think they have the valving all wrong in the shocks. Mine is still very harsh in the first part of the compression stroke, then softens up from mid stroke to full stroke. How do I know this? There is quite a dip on the freeway I drive everyday. When I hit it, the car seems to bottom out and gets a mushy feel - still controlled, but mushy nonetheless. And small bumps are felt as though there is now compression of the shocks and/or springs at all. I've tried to determine if aftermarket springs, i.e., Eibach, KW, etc., are better in their progressive windings, but can't decide what to do. |

The adjustment bolts only provide about 0.2 -0.3 degree change and should only be used as a last resort. When shifting the cradle, the passenger side of the cradle will move forward in car and the driver's side will move rearward in car. CAUTION: If an adjustment bolt is to be installed do not allow the bolt head to turn during disassembly or assembly, the cradle tension link joint or the lower control arm bushing inner metal sleeve will be destroyed and require replacement. thank you all for your great input I had the esp problem fixed. They said the "Ring Tone" was the problem and they fixed it. But then When I took it home and drove it that night the breaks sounded like metal on metal. This was now a new problem! Pissed I took it back right away and they kept it another day and said that they could not find what had gone wrong and drove my car to run errands to see if the problem repeated itself. They took it all apart and rechecked what they had fixed and said that everything was in place. Boy I'm getting a little discouraged with the dodge dealership and their ability. I hoped that the wiggle problem would be resolved with the esp problem but none the less its still there and they dont seem to feel it at all! I did take it to the ford dealer and have the alignment checked and they said it was fine. Well I hope i dont find the problem when the warranty runs out.
