RE: desoto and chrysler hemi's
Greetings to All, The DeSoto will be a 276 ci engine. Not sure where you saw a '333' number. The demand for early DeSoto engines is low, due to lack of hot-rod parts availability. If someone offers more than $300 take it.
The 392 is a keeper even if frozen, hopefully no cracked cyl walls. These days a decent 392 core should bring about $1500-$2000. If you want to take the time to strip it andhot tank everything you could piece it out and make even more. How much is your time worth? The 'hi-rise' you mention is just the way Chrysler did things back in the 'old' days. Best engineering on the planet!! Happy Motoring |
