i had a 300J car with a max wedge engine. a stock 300J has long tube ram intakes, it has the long inside runners. there is a long tube intake with short intake runners. then there is the race short manifold short tube. the long runner is to help mid rpm horsepower, 2800 rpm. the short runner is to help high rpm, 4800 to 5200 rpm. the long runner was for the lettered 300s. the short runner was for racing. i had a 1963 300J with a wax wedge 500 ci , it came out of 2 nd at 125 mph.

NOT just a little A LOT. please note the chrysler 300 letter cars with a long ram tube, was a gentle mans luxury car, not a race car. target speed was 16 sec in 1/4 mile. note that is what chrysler wanted. the dodge and plymouth maxi wedge car was meant to go 12-13 sec in 1/4 mile. it is not a mistake
