Default driveshaft help!

Hey guys new here I am building a 1949 dodge wayfarer I put a 318 with a 4 speed problem I am haveing is the driveshaft on the rear its the smaller flange and the front has the larger flange from the trans is there a fix to this without cutting the driveshaft ?? will the larger housing fit on this shaft?? I would appreciate any input thanks Larry

Most rodders I know just take the shaft to a machine shop and have the needed flanges put on. I dont know of any adapters or kits available to avoid cutting, welding and balancing.

on mopars that have u-joints, there is mostly two sizes. there was a spcel joint that was large size on two pins, and two pins small size. cant remember the number. its not cheep. that might help. is the 4 speed trans a flange out put shaft? or u-joint?
