Default 59 d100 318 carburetor

I have a 59 D100 with original 318, and the Stromberg carb is sucking way too much gas, no matter how much I lean it out. I'm at altitude (Reno, NV.), so that doesn't help, but I'm wondering if I can get new jets, or perhaps someone out there knows what the trouble is... I've adjusted the float level to bring the gas level in the float bowl down, but it doesn't help. I'm wondering if the float check valve is not cutting off, but not sure how to check that. When the engine is warm and I shut it off, gas comes out of the throttle body and onto the manifold, and I don't want to lose my baby in an inferno! Is there a replacement carb I can get that will accommodate the original oil bath air filter? Thanks for the help!
