when you change plug wires remove only one at a time, that way you get the wires in the right place. allso i have found that the newer caps have a vent between the center tower and the cyl towers. DO plug the vent with JB-weld. this will keep moisture out of the cap. took me 5 years to figure this out. on the engine you have if stock, use any brand of plug is fine, use the heat range called out by the books. i have put 2 bbl carb on this engine, but it is NOT easy. the most important thing is that on such a mod is to be sure the throttle does NOT stick open, when you mash the pedal. is that engine over reves under ANY conditions it will wipe out the ring lands on the piston. just be sure you dont over reve the ever.

i recommend what i call a REAL parts house, for most parts. use places like auto zone orielys for oil and such things advance auto is a good place for parts to. the reason is if you mail order and something goes wrong, you cant walk into the store and solve the trouble in 30 min. hint if you buy an alternator have them check it on there test machine before you take it home. see if there is a mopar club where you are. that is a way to get good help.
