Have the Uconnect 8.4N with my new Dart Limited. I'd like to hook up an aftermarket amplifier to put a subwoofer in the trunk - what with the passthrough in the rear seat and all. Does anyone know if the Uconnect touchscreen has preamp output available or where to find that info? I don't want to go trying to pull it to see if I could verify it otherwise. Thanks.

 

The freaking Radio is above the Glove Box behind the passenger airbag on those cars. You are going to have fun trying to get to it.

Here is your connector. I think you can splice into Speaker circuit for amplifier.

Thanks! Yah I was afraid of how difficult it would be to get to. Don't see anything referencing a preamp out so I'd agree that looks like I'll have to tap into speaker wires with a speaker-level input converter that will then have the RCAs to run into my amp. Thing is, I was thinking, there is the Dart option for the 9 speaker Alpine system with amplifier and 8" sub. Wonder where that plugs in or maybe that would be a completely different head unit and harness?
