Default Multiple Electrical Failures

My husband and I purchased a used 2013 Dodge Dart Limited 1.4L, 6 speed manual transmission in September 2015. Currently, it has 80000. In the past couple months, we've experienced several electrical failures. First, our phones wouldn't connect to the uconnect. My husband disconnected and reconnected the battery and the phone will connect and phone calls can be made. However, we get no audio during a phone call and the person on the other end will only hear a muffled scratch. Next, the gas cap loose warning light comes on intermittently. Sometimes tightening the gas cap will alleviate the problem, mostly it does not. Our biggest problem to date is our passenger headlight not working. The bulb has been changed and the wires traced. Most recently, I was unable to turn on cruise control on a long trip. This problem has not replicated itself, but it's only been two days since that happened. We're finding VERY LITTLE online to help us diagnose the problem. What we have found relates to a body control module or totally integrated power module. However, finding a list of what these modules actually control has proven futile. Should we just abandon all hope and blow it up?

If you're looking for some information to layout the operation of a totally computer controlled car in Layman's format, not likely.

See if you can get a service manual, necessary for DIY on your vehicle.

Hi Vianey Gaucin,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.
