Default How cold is it?

2015 Dart SXT
The outside temperature display constantly showing -45º
Does any one know if this is caused by an "open" circuit, or a "short" circuit?
We have lots of varmints in the neighborhood that have chewed some wires before, causing me problems.
I figure the -45º is symbolic of one of the two situations. Wires are either chewed in two causing an open, or the sensor
has failed completely. There was no warning. Just kaput.

Have you checked the sensor and wiring yet?

I haven't had any time yet. Not 100% sure where the sensor is. If it is where I suspect, there is a panel between the radiator and front wrap that will need to come off. I was hoping for a little information that might help me decide which end to start at. Harness or sensor.

Got around to un-plugging the sensor today. No change.
Afterwards I realized that I should have "shorted" across the connector. Tried to trace the wiring, but it disappears underneath.
Looks like jacks and blocks are next.
Love this little car. Hate that to do anything means dragging out equipment t
