Starting and stopping

I had the same problem several years back in my 87 Shelby Z. Turned out the computer(behind passenger kick board panel) was the culprit. Not sure what went bad inside it. My brother had the same problem in a mid 80s dodge 600 and his was a map sensor on the top of his computer. He had to change that part several times over the years. Hope that helps some.

It's the sensor in the distributor with the wires coming off of it.
It's pretty common on these cars, in fact most people carry an extra one in their glove box just to be safe.
You can pull one at a jy, or from what I've heard, mopar is the best replacement brand for them. The ones from parts stores don't have a good reputation, although I've never had a problem with mine.
