Long time lurker, first post. Read the site alot when i replaced the head on the daytona.

I have a 89 daytona, auto that i replaced the head, water pump, timing chain, oil pump/pan and belts and hoses. My problem is now it will idle forever and the temp will be fine. As soon as i increase the rpm it starts heating up quite a bit and won't go back down unless i let it idle.

I just can't figure this out so any help would be appreciated. It's not throwing any codes either.

Couple of things to check:

Make sure valve timing is correct.
Make sure you used the correct water pump. Sometime in 1988-89 Chrysler reversed the impeller direction on these. If you bought the wrong vintage pump, it will spin backwards and overheat.
