Default Quick question regarding tire size for stocks...

Hey guys, need some quick help. I got my 1st child on the way, so it's time to bid farewell to my 'fancy' rims and put the stocks back on. *tear*

I have an '04 SXT, but thestock rims need new tires. I've been looking online and every site sells 185/60R15's and that's what I have on them now. I found a guy selling a new pair of P185/65R15's, but before I drive an hour to get 'em, I wanted to know if they would fit without rubbing or giving me any problems whatsoever?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks fellas...

-I have the stock rims on mine and I have Cooper CS4's on it. Stock 185/60R15s too. These tires have not let me down one bit, especially on wet roads. My other car has Kelly Chargers on it and I thought they were good tires. That was until I got the Cooperson theSXT. If I remember correctly, all four tires out the door with lifetime rotation and balancing were $320. But I might be off on the price.

^$320 isn't bad at all. Discount tire gave me a quote of $425 for all 4 tires! [:@]

They will fit without rubbing, but just keep in mind that they will be SLIGHTLY taller, but not by much. Worst case scenario, depending on the manufacturer, you will have 3/8" or so clearance between the top of the tire and the spring retainer on the strut. This is fine, since the strut lower moves with the tire, and the tire and bearing cannot deflect enough to close distance that far with the retainer. That being said, you should be fine with the 185/65's... as long as you like tall, skinny tires lol... good for gas mileage though!

I guess with gas prices these days, it's not that bad! I figure for less than half the price, I can live with the lanky tires!! Thanks guys..
