need help removing the intake side valve springs
alright, so just like the title says...I need some help removing the intake side valve springs, the spark plug tubes are in the way...and also, I'm pretty sure you can remove the valve spring seats (think that's the correct terminology) if so, do they pry off or what? cuz I know on modernperformance, the mopar head gasket kit has the seats that you replace....and one more thing, I promise...I'm swapping the mag head, so which head gasket should i get the magnum head gasket or the regular?
you should be using a valve spring compressor.
one like this

you can also smack the top of the valve with arubber hammer and the retainers will pop out sometimes (ifthere not super stuck).
the valve seatsare in the combustion chamber and can only be remove by a machine shop. Most of the time the shop will heat the head making it expand and the seats will fall out. Anouther method is by useing a special drill that willdrill out the seats. YOU must be thinking valve guide seals since i dont think that the give you seats in that kit.
i would almost bet that they are the same, but i dont know. If in doubt use the mag HG, i would asks around for part# and such to see if they are different

ok I think i need to use the "claw-like" spring compressor for the intake side springs, cuz the tubes are in the way...and yeah you got what I was talking about with the valve guide seals
MUCH appreciated
