Default MDS operation

Hey gang - I'm new here, but am part of the MOPAR faithful; my best friend is the shop foreman at the local dealer and has informed me about some of the MDS issues with the '06-'08s. A friend, who is a salesman there has an '06 and his grandfather has an '08 in which the MDS does strange things, including a bad vibration and engagement at 18mph on the '08.

What have been you all's experience with the '09 MDS system? Is it seamless, reliable and proper operating or are you running around in Tow-Haul mode to keep it off? Also, is the Tow-Haul mode better than say my '05? With my '05, the only benefit of Tow-haul is a little better downshift when stopping and lockup in 3rd and 4th. Thanks a lot!

Default Question off the topic

How do you like your super chip system on your truck. I am looking to install comp cam and bee hive valve springs on my 04 hemi. They recommended going with Diablo Sport because of updates and downloads also recommended sending it out to a company comp uses for reprogram any ideas? Looking for second opinion. THANKS Josh.

The superchips is great, the best part is the transmission tuning and improved shift logic. It now downshifts properly, instead of hanging in 3rd gear and then slamming into 1st after making a slow speed turn. Also, the shift firmness is great, no more mush! Power tuning isn't terribly noticable, but the tranny stuff is more than satisfying.

I don't notice my MDS other than seeing the tach drop.

The guy who asked about Superchips, I had one on my 07 and it was insane. They are even better on the 04 because you can set the shift points which is a power robber on the 07-08. I felt it shifted way to early. But anyway, get one....Moe's performance has them for $318.00 free shipping.

The MDS in the 09's is truly seamless. You can't really tell when it's in or out. I have a slight vibration in my truck but I don't think it's from the MDS. Although I was told the other day there is a PCM flash out for that very thing.

Moe's has it listed for year 03-08 Hemi motors. No mention of 2009
