Out cleaning my awesome truck tonight, what do I find? Hemi emblem on passenger side of truck has black paint chipped off and my Ram in the grill has chrome chipped off. Going back to dealer to get that taken care of. Anyone know if the ram in the grill is spendy to repace when not under warranty?

you could get one of those billet emblems, i think they fit the 09s

 

the emblem on the grill just pops in the recess. if you look behind it you will see the tabs. lift the top tab and wiggle the emblem and it should just come right out. mine did the other day when i was cleaning the grill.

 

The factory forgot to put on one of my Hemi emblems. I had the dealer get me another and when I looked at it up close I could see just how cheap the chrome plated plastic was. It looked like the laminate was separating or something.

I have the painted grill and I don't have any chips.

 

Just got back from dealer. They are going to replace all three. Both HEMI badges and the Ram in the grill.
FYI, i asked what the new Ram for grill would cost if they didn't warr. it. They said about $44, incase anyone is interested.

do you know it those emblems are just glued on or if they have holes in the truck if i took them off??

 

i know the grill emblem will leave a recess and holes and i think i read somwhere about the tailgate rams head having a recess as well. the door badges should just be stick ons
