Default U-Connect ?

Hey everyone I just got my 09 Ram Big Horn. I love it but it didnt come with U-Connect Phone. My question is it worth adding? Dealer says I can get it for $ 250 plus install. Also can I get it on the Internet and save, if so where? Thanks in advance

i love mine. set my phone to auto-connect, so i dont have to touch it. if im within 35-40 feet of the truck when its running, itll connect. get an incoming call, just push the button and radio cuts out, puts phone through speakers. voice qaulity is excellent, dont have to repeat myself to anyone. what i dont like is the damn thing wont recegnize what im saying sometimes. ill go to call "clint", itll say "dial 4890?" ill repeat it, and same thing. if i say "clint" louder and clearer, itll read it as "cancel" so there i am in my truck getting into a screaming match w/ my damn uconnect lady to get her to dial the right damn number. setting up the phonebook, apparantly "logan" sounds like "mary". donno

but overall i like it

Yeah... the voice dialing is weird. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. Set up a bunch of friends in my phone under different names like Douchebag, *******, etc. and thought it would be funny to call them while they were in the truck, but it only works like 1 out of 10 times.

I really like mine. The only command that doesn't work is dial "home". for some reason it won't recognize "home"

i got the uconnect also and i do love it, but i do have the same problem with it. i thought about just putting people in as numbers like 1, 2, 3 etc to see how that works just will have to remember who is what number.
