Question Interior Lights Functionality... Doh!

Proud new owner of a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Sport Crew Cab!

Drove it home tonight, and for the first time noticed... I can't figure out how to get the interior lights to turn on when the door is opened.

Does this vehicle not have that common feature? All the lights work normally when operated manually, but opening the doors w/ the FOB and/or opening the door does not turn on any interior lights. Went through the DIC menu and saw no lighting option for that.

Just trying to start her up at night involves feeling for the tiny horizontal slot which is like stumbling around a Thai gogo bar during a blackout, only a lot less fun.

Help!

check your interior light roller (panel brightness) to make sure the interiors are not turned off. Roll it all the way over to the right (one stop shy).

Congrats on the new truck!
Scroll through the EVIC. I'm pretty sure that was one of the options you could turn off. Check the owners manual as well.

What he said. Under setup there's an option called something like Lighted approach.

Wow, am I dumb.

Yeah, lighted approach was on, the dash lights and AC lights were on (something that turned off on my old cars if the dimmer was totally dim) so somehow I didn't even think to look for that.

Next time I will STFU and RTFM, lol! Thanks guys!!!
