Default Alarm System

I just bought a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab with the Lonestar package. I just noticed that the truck came w/o an alarm. Is there a factory manufactured after market product available? I would like to take advantage of the existing keyless entry remote. Love the Truck.

I purchased a OEM upgrade security system called Auto mate AM1 made by DEI. I was mis-informed by another nation wide electronic store that the modules/adapters for the 09 Ram were not out yet and it would be too difficult to hard wire the alarm so the key-less entry and starter disable would work. Not true!! The shop I went to installed the Auto mate and best of all it works with the factory key-less entry (I did not want two sets of remotes and I did not need the remote start feature). The alarm has a shock sensor, flashing lights, and starter disable. I had the shop add an extra shock sensor in rear tail light to protect the bed area. I also added two extra LED's, for a total of three. One on either side of the front doors and the last one inside the third brake light on the roof. Lastly I upgraded the siren to a full size unit like the ones used on emergency vehicles. I wanted something I can hear inside my house (heavy sleeper) and something that would scare the crap out of any crooks. Only set me back $375.00 (automate w/extra parts & labor)vs $499.00 (Viper plus extra modules & custom labor etc.) So far the alarm install has worked flawlessly.

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the 1st time or the last), but I believe Viper is made by DEI. Actually I believe a good many alarms/remote starters are made by DEI. I'm stating this on the fact that my Dad used to (3-4 yrs ago for approx.20-25 yrs) work with alarm systems/remote start/stereo systems.
