Default Parting out a 92 Daytona 2.5L TBI 5-speed

After this weekend, I'll be parting out my 92 Daytona that I've owned since new. It pains me to do it, because I wanted to see how far I could run it - currently has 308,000 miles. Except for rust, it could have gone 400K on the original engine. Best car I've ever owned.

The hood is spoken for, as is the stereo, A/C compressor and lines and radiator and cooling fan. Almost everything else is up for grabs. The drivetrain is in great shape - 308K original miles on the 2.5L TBI engine, never been apart, never overheated, oil changed every 3K miles on average. The clutch was replaced 35K miles ago and the tranny replaced with a rebuilt one. Shifts beautifully, A523 with 3.77 ratio. The engine uses a qt of oil every 1200-1500 miles, no smoke at all. Compression is about 125-130 in all cylinders. Clean. Emissions were near the same as new when tested a year ago. Catcon is good and was replaced 4 years and 65K miles ago.

The interior is near mint, and the driver's door armrest has been carefully and neatly glued back down - the Gen 3 ones always come loose.

Along with this, I have a good working factory AM/FM/cassette stereo available (non-Infinity).

Posted on allpar.com, massmopar.com also.

I'm in southeastern MA and will ship small, light parts only. Come get the rest yourself, including drivetrain. If you want that, I'll help unbolt it and lift, but you have to supply the hoist and transport.

Full maintenance and repair record is available. I cared well for this car, other than the rust, which got ahead of me. Pics from January 2009 available at http://boblincoln.com/92Daytona/. Thanks.
