Default HID Help

I bought 10K HID lights had them put on first few times fired right up, now they flicker before they come on but they come on in about 5 seconds, is this normal? The shop told me yes it is, but I don't believe them.

If they flicker when they come on it's cool. If they flicker after they're already on - not cool. If they do that then get cancelers.

No after they are onl they never flicker, its just when they first turn on they flicker for about 5 seconds then come on and stay on.

So that's normal, can I ask why, or is it just something they do, b/c of ballast?

Must be the way the ballast works. Fluorescent light, street lights, and warehouse lights all flicker when they start up. Must be a ballast thing.

It's warming up. I have an HID headlight on my Harley and it does the same thing. I can even hear the buzz of the ballest as it's warming up.
