2010 Experience
I'm on a business trip and had the opportunity to rent a Ram. I have a 2009 CC 5.7L as my personal vehicle and I love it. Exciting rental options were scarce but a QC Ram was an option so i took it. It had the smaller engine in it, which was obvious, but I was surprised it was the 2010 (build date of Sept 2009). The EVIC is definately different, not necessarily better, except the Tire PSI is listed, but it is definately different from the 2009. The smaller engine QC got over 23 mpg according to the evic on the hwy. The ride seemed a little bit smoother than my CC. Also, it seemed a little bit more quiet. I think Dodge has continued to refine the truck, no complaints on my currrent truck, but I think Dodge is listening to some of the criticism.
They changed the EVIC around quite a bit. They are using more menu based settings, similar to the current "Vehicle Info", they now have a "Fuel Economy" menu, so when you click into it it has the Ave MPG, DTE, and there is an electronic bar at the bottom of the EVIC that shows the instant MPG, so when you accelerate it drops to 10 MPG or below, but on the hwy it was getting well into the mid-20's. There is Tire Pressure menu, when you click into it has the outline of the truck and the PSI setting at each corner. This is the 4.7L and the Evic has the letters ECO at the top, but when you come out of "D" the ECO goes away, otherwise it stays on the whole time, not sure if the current 4.7s have that now or not.
My truck has the 20" wheels on it and this has the 18" wheels, which may be why it is riding a little bit smoother than mine. I did notice there is a 4x4 badge on the tailgate, but this truck is not 4wd, so I don't know how they badged it wrong. I didn't notice any other major changes.
