Default Paint Defect

I have a 09 ram crew sport with brilliant black pearl. Every time I blink the paint has another chip in it, the truck has 2000 kms. on it. Is there anyway I can find out the line history on the vehicle. I ordered it in the middle of the shutdown and am concerned that it may have sat on factory floor primed for an extended length of time possibly picking up contaminates causing the paint to not adhere properly. I baby the truck and it pisses me off to see chips appearing everytime I turn around. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have a 09 black Ram, quad cab. My paint isn't chipping yet,but I do have alot of overspray, bad orange peel effect, 3 good size dull spots in the clear coat, and you can actually see and feel dirt or particles of something in the paint in like 4 spots on my truck. I had a burgandy 05 Dodge Ram that I traded in on my 09, and the paint job on it was perfect. I don't know if it was because of the shutdown, or if it was a lack of pride in their work, but it is really sad. These trucks aren't cheap, you would think that the paint job would be much better quality. Not saying that every paint job is bad, but I know 3 others around here that have the same problem. I'm not sure if theirs are starting to chip yet, but I will ask tomorrow.

I have a Crew Cab in Brilliant Black Pearl, and the paint job is great, it's one of my favorite things about the truck. There's a little orange peel, but it's certainly no worse than any other vehicle I've ever owned.

Default paint chips

Mine are in areas you wouldnt expect to have chips. On the back corner of the box at the top, on the door above the handle,etc.etc. When I first received the vehicle, the plastic film the factory installs on the front of the rear bumper facing the rear wheels had air buubles in it. The factory puts these on to protect the painted bumper from stones flying up from the rear wheels.
I brought it back to the service dept. the service advisor said they should have been removed during PDI, I disagreed. He proceeded to pull the plastic off. As he peeled off the plastic the paint came off with it, he said oops and sent it to the body shop.
I am bringing it back and complaining, maybe I can get it waxed and have a bottle of touch up paint thrown in. If it gets worse I think I will be demanding a new truck, I wont settle for a new paint job unless Foose does it.

I have a flame red slt and have a handful of paint defects as well. Noticed them after I clay barred the truck.

Got some major orange peel. A few areas on the hood that look like water spots, but was actually in the clear coat. Had to use ScratchX a few times to smooth it out and them applied a couple coats of wax. Looks good now.

Also have what appears to be missing paint the size of a large pin head right under the Hemi badge on the driver side fender. There is no way of getting to that without some major work. Looks like it's missing both the primer and paint. Clear coat goes down all the way.

As for rock chips, not enough to complain about.

Most of these bothered me for a month or so. After 4 payments, it's used to me now, so I just keep it waxed and try not to let more paint damage annoy me.

I installed clear bra right after I bought my truck. Hood, fenders, front bumper, rocker panels and lower doors. Oh and on the the two small flat surfaces on the tailgate (where the release handles is located).
