Go ahead and switch whenever you want. The "wait to switch" is a myth. The real reason some would recommend waiting is so you don't waste the money on synthetic for the shortest oil change interval of the truck's life: the break-in period.

I put it in at my first change, no different than my 05 Hemi. Some cars even come new with it.

Not for the regular Mobil 1, that's for the Mobil 1 extended for longer OCI.

I switched to Mobil1 about 4 or 5 oil changes ago and had my oil tested every change after. The results showed the sweet spot for my oil change interval, based on the way I drive (urban driving, lots of hills, little hwy) is 5000 miles. Switched to Penzoil Platinum and it stayed at 5K. The old addage stays the same, your mileage may vary.

I have always done 5K, or one year, which ever comes first. Sometimes the Viper only has a couple hundred on it at a change
