Post Tuners and after market Chips

I'm completely in the dark when it comes to tuners and aftermarket chips. I'm wondering if someone could break it down for me.

How much do they cost?
What are total costs after installation, tune, and whatever else is needed?
Is it difficult to install with minor knowledge?
Where is the best place to purchase them?
Are there any well known tuners in the Houston area anyone is aware of?
What are the pros and cons of having a tuner and/or after market chip?
Does it void the warranty?
Any serious problems (I read something about problems with MDS)?

Just a few questions that came to mind. Experiences and extra info are welcome, whatever I can learn about it to help me understand them and know what I'm getting into if I decide to go that way later. I also apologize if I didn't use the right verbage or lingo, still new to the aftermarket mod world.

Your best bet is to read through some of the threads already posted.... www.diablosport.com makes a couple of tuners. You can go to their web site and get a lot of info, look at their forum also. You may get more answers if you post question in threads already dedicated to tuners.
