MyGig RER and AllGig question
I have the RER MyGig and AllGig installed on my Ram. Just one week prior to my installing the AllGig, I had to have my RER radio replaced under warranty. I don't think I used the navigation on the new radio until after the AllGig was installed. Now that I have the AllGig installed I recently used the navigation feature to give me directions to a location. I noticed that the voice prompts started to cut off the first word in the turn by turn directions, but this didn't happen every time. For example when the voice is supposed to say "turn left in 500 feet" what would actually come out would be "left in 500 feet." Cutting off most or all of the first word is a common occurrence now.
There were several possibilities at what could be the problem. I suspected software, the radio itself, or perhaps the AllGig having some sort of unintended interference. I was running software version 1.220 and tried upgrading it to the unofficial version 2.043 that is available on the MyGig forums. Its a dandy new software version, but the voice cutting off issue still remains. This leads me to believe it is not the radio software causing the problem. That narrows it down to the radio or the AllGig.
I'm not excited about tearing the truck apart again and unhooking the AllGig to run an experiment, but I will if necessary. First I wanted to get on the forum here to see if anyone else had experienced any similar issues with their voice prompts after installing the AllGig. If not, chances are its the new radio Chrysler gave me. If so, perhaps we need to get in touch with AllGig customer service to see if there is a software fix. So that being said, let me know what you guys are experiencing. Thanks for your time!

Anybody? Even if you have the AllGig and your Nav voice prompts are fine I'd like to hear from you. I guess if I don't hear back from anyone by this weekend, I'll tear into it on Saturday. Thanks in advance.
Ok, so I took the AllGig out today and drove the wife around on her weekend chores with the Nav voice prompts going the whole time and it didn't miss a beat... This leads me to believe I have an issue with my AllGig... Going to test the customer service department at NavTV I guess. Why does this always happen to me? Anyway, I'll keep you posted in case anyone else out there has a similar issue now or in the future...

At least one would be defective somehow. It is sad, when you dig and look where they were built. Made in Japan, Taiwan, China, Malaysia or some other Country that uses children or undpays workers. I try so hard to find things firstly made in Canada since I am Canadian and then I buy them from the US but the funny thing most of the things I buy from the US are from the afore mentioned countries just like it was here. I think both Canada and the US should boycott products from Mexico, Japan, China,Taiwan all the third world countries also that produce junk and sell it here. Why do both of our governments allow this?
Even going to restaurants you can see they are so short handed and they pay them so little, they rely on tips.
So let us know what NavTV says, I am thinking about a purchase of allgig or the other one since its much cheaper, I am now hearing more problems with allgig from install to well what you are going thru.
