Question Remote Start and Alarms, Fog Lamp Mod?

Hey gang,
I've got a 2010 QC that came with remote keyless entry but apparently no alarm. I was going to add the Mopar remote start, but don't know if that module adds a perimeter alarm or not. If not, I'd have to add an aftermarket alarm, preferably one that uses the factory fobs.

Has anyone added OEM remote start and found that you now have alarm functions?

Has anyone tried adding an aftermarket alarm to a vehicle with remote start?

Finally, was tinkering with trying to get the fogs/driving lights to run like DRLs. So far, I've found pulsed voltages from 2.7 to 4.2 volts at the switch, but the fog light button merely dips the voltage at one wire while it's depressed. Anybody have any ideas on how to fool the BCM/ECM Can-bus (whatever it's really called) into letting the fogs run independently?

Thanks for any help!

Joe

OEM security/remote start is a basic 1-way, short range system with limited security features.

You want "the" best 2-way security/remote start with color OLED & 1 mile range?

Viper 5902 + CHALL interface module, Invisibeam® Field Disturbance Sensor, Digital Tilt Motion Sensor, Backup Battery/Siren System, Audio Glass Break Sensor & SmartStart - start truck with iPhone.

Installed a bypass relay allowing fogs with highs.
Below, my Viper 4203/CHALL, 2-way remote start, LED/chime confirm, 2000' range.
I can remove fob from ignition (PARK), truck stays running, great for short errands with heat/air on.
HK .40 is my security!
