I broke one of the speaker adapter rings that came with the 6.5" aftermarket speakers I'm about to mount in the rear positions in my 02 CC. (Factory non-Infinity CD system, stock to the bone) Does anyone have a pair- or even just *One*- of speaker adapter plate(s), for mounting 6.5" round speakers in our 97 & up Dakota 6.75" speaker holes, that wouldn't be too expensive? No particular brand- Schoshe, Metra, whatever came in the box with your 6.5" speakers that you didn't use. My stock stereo is not an Infinity- would the factory Infinity rear adapters/spacers allow mounting a 6.5" speaker in the oversize hole? Or are they for a smaller dia speaker?

(For those who are curious- I bought the speakers 8(Yes, 8!) years ago & never used 'em, they're still NIB- except for the broken adapter ring! Some Jensen 3-ways, swivel tweeter, heavy magnet, mounting depth about 2 3/8", high sensitivity of 93 db- should work well with the stock CD-player head unit.)
