Default Idling issues

Anyone noticed their idling raising up from about 600 rpms to about 800-850 when setting at a red light, drive threw restaraunt,or just being stopped with the brake on?

Normal operation of AC on every vehicle I've ever owned is to increase idle when the compressor runs. Carburated cars used to have a solenoid that actually kicked the throttle lever on the carb up a bit.
