A New Ram?
I currently have a Dodge and will hopefully be upgrading to a new truck in the next 18 - 24 months. I have narrowed the choice down to Dodge and Ford, either 1500 or 2500, F-150 or F-250. If I go with the larger vehicle, I will be running a diesel.
I do not tow a whole lot at the present time, however, there are plans down the road of possibly adding a 4 horse trailer to the mix, or a 16 foot box trailer. I live in the mountainous west and think the diesel may be a good idea.
As for looks, I really like the RAM 1500 and the 2500HD isn't too bad either. The Ford's look pretty nice as well on the exterior however, the interior beats the Dodge I think.
I will also be looking at adding a 6" lift, new wheels and 35" tires and a few other minor accessories. Based on all of your experiences, which route would you take and why? Looking for feedback on: power, maintenance, longevity, ride, etc. And I do understand this is a Dodge forum and feedback may be a bit bias! Just be honest is all I am asking!
Thank you in advance!

If your going to be towing, driving alot, lifting it and so on I would personally go with a 2500 or the F-250. Since the 6.7L has come out i haven't heard of to many problems except for crappy mpg.(that can be cured fairly easy by deleting the DPF). So my choice is go with a diesel or at least a 2500/250 gasser(diesels are way more fun though)
