Default Headlight Adjustment

Those of you that have lifted trucks,6" or higher, have you had your headlights re-adjusted?Or do you know how they are adjusted? My truck is lifted 11" in front, and 9" in rear.It seems I am blinding oncoming vehicles. If anyone knows how to adjust them, please let me know.Or I may have to take it to the dealer ship for re-adjustment.I don't want to cause anyone to wreck.....

highly doubt anyone would wreck cause of it but in any case...

park in front of your garage door...like 10ft away...turn on lights, pop hood. If you look just on top of the light there will be a series of holes...there should be one with a stamped arrow. The hole with the arrow is your headlight screw access point. Get a socket wrench with 6" extension...I wanna say its like a 7mm? Dont remember...but stick it down onto the bolt and turn it counter-clockwise (i think) to aim it lower.

good luck.

The link text is correct but the forum had substituted a shorter URL for the click-through. I edited the post above to fix it. Try again.

i finally went tot adjust my headlights last night because with my lift my lights point straight at the ground. problem was no matter how many times i turned that screw clockwise, there was not vertical action happening, either headlight. any thoughts? is that screw for just a high beam or just a low beam ? or is it for the whole headlight assembly? either way the lights are still pointed at the ground
