Default Lowering - 09 Ram

Typically how much does it cost to lower a 09 Ram Crew Cab 2/4 Drop. I got a quote of $1800 from a local place in Houston, thats with them buying the kit, if I buy the kit and bring it to them they said $1,000 so thats all labor, is this a good price, I am still shopping around for quotes, but wanted to see what you guys thought.

Ouch! I paid $400 for the kit, and $300 to install. Took them about 3 hours. At your price they are getting $333.33333333e bucks an hour!! I want that job!!!

300 bucks is a fairly normal cost for installing a basic lift or lowering kit.

2/4 kits are a simple install in the driveway with basic tools, take you maybe a full morning to do. A shop, with a lift and air tools, 2 hours tops. The place quoted you $800 for a lousy 2/4 kit and a grand for just the labor saw you as easy pick'ns...

Go with the economy kit from McG's, it is springs for all four corners which you can definitely do in your driveway. Also, the spindles push out the front tires a little.
