Default Shifting issues

Anyone notice when shifting from park to drive, once it engages in drive, the truck jolts forward a bit?

I've noticed it many times now. I guess I am going to take it in. I've only had it for 3 months.

It will do that in reverse as well if you do not let it warm up and get the fluids going. You are most likely feeling the converter lock that wasn't quite pumped up with pressure if was not warmed up and idled down to normal, that is of course if we are talking about the same thing.

1954radio has a valid point if you start your truck and immediatly put it in gear the idle rpm might have not had enough time to idle down and that is were your getting the jolt because of the high rpm. let it idle first you'll hear the idle down, then put it in gear.
