Default Need a little help (4x4 vibrations)

Hey folks, been reading up here for about an hour or so about the 4x4 vibrations.

Have the truck since December 09 and the 4x4 was working fine back then no vibrations or what not.

Fast forward to this summer, I install a ReadyLift 2.0 leveling kit. Now today I put the truck in 4x4 and bam the thing now is a huge vibrator. Wasn't too too bad...I can deal with it as it was only at certain speed. The thing that intrigued me the most is this. When I put it in 4x4 (dead stop) and tried to turn right (or left) slowly the truck wouldn't move. Almost as if I had the brakes applied. So much that the rear wheels started to spin at one point.

Now other then removing the leveling kit, is there something that should be checked or does this sound normal ?

Let me know. Thanks in advance for all your expertise on the matter

That's your problem. Lots of 3rd Gen guys have had the same issue. Do a search and you will see.
The front end of these trucks are not meant to be lifted using spacers. The cv shafts are already maxed out for their angle in stock form. Only way to get rid of your problem is to remove the leveling kit.

Some guys have this issue and other don't. It's a pick of straws pretty much.

You aren't suppose to turn hard right or left at a crawl. Your wheels are fighting each other and are binding on the pavement or whatever surface you were on. This is perfectly normal and at the same time can be damaging.

I understand that I'm not supposed to turn are right or left but when I had my wheels turned just slightly the truck was stopping itself....had the truck with the wheels straight foot off the brakes and it wasn't going ahead....that's why I was kinda thrown off at first

Sounds like the angle of your cv axles are at the extreme where they are stopping the idle from putting the truck in motion.
Even the slightest bit left or right on a hard solid surface such as pavement would stop a 4wd truck due to the bind of the tires since they don't slip.
The 09+ are having issues with anything larger than 1". '08-prior are having issue's anything over 2" as far as leveling kits go.
The bilstien lift struts and Rancho Quicklifts are the best way to go, just not sure they have come out with the '09+ line-up yet as they were very slow to release the 06-08 yrs.

So if I dont take the kit off and that I am ok with the vibrations here and there... what could happen from leaving this kit on ?

This really sucks though

Emailed ReadyLift and here is the answer I got

"Marc,
I have heard of a company called Kore Performance that sells CV axles that should fix the problem but you are looking at $600 to purchase them. Other than that we recommend you remove the kit.

Thank you,"

F-that....600$ for CV Axles.....the kit is coming off next Friday
