So I installed a set of HID 6k projectors today (the make is Pro Tuning Labs). The install went great, no problems, they work great - but I swear to God my OEM's were brighter! Am I missing something?

You may need to adjust them down (or Up??) I noticed the same thing but mine were shooting in the sky so I tilted them down and Bam!

I used the Hid's on my Low Beams and Fog Lights, To keep my DRL's working properly I used PIAA UltraWhites for the High beams.

I noticed that when I turn the lights on they flash really bright then settle into a lower level of illumination in a split second... is this normal? The whole thing is weird, because last night it appeared that the cutoff line (so the lights don't shine up too far) is in the right spot, and the lights shine well to the sides and front, but the moment I kick the fogs on I can see much better and they totally overshine the HID's. Is this normal?
