I just saw an ad for the Dodge Ram pickup with 5.7 litre Hemi rated at 383hp and 400ft-lb torque in the Canadian "Cottage Life" magazine.

Where have the 7hp and 9ft-lb gone?

 

Ya I noticed the standard hemi challenger is 360 I believe?

 

Some literature says 390 and others say 383.Been seeing it both ways since 09.

 

its 390 in the 1500 and 383 in the 2500.the hemi has a different rating based on which vehicle its in

Heh. That difference (Between 1500's) can be made just in the weather for that day.

As for the other cars, you have to understand that each are tuned differently for HP and TQ curves to increase optimum power for the vehicle its in.
