Default WTB. TPS Sensor

I have a 95 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9ltr turbo diesel and I believe my Throttle Positioning Sensor is not functioning properly as I get intermittent "jumping" of rpms (around 150rpms) on or off cruise and need a replacement. Anyone have a good used TPS to fit that year and at what price?
Thanks, Wayne

Why would you think it's the TPS? have you done any diagnostics to confirm that? Using a scanner or even an Ohm meter can be used for testing.

Default TPS Sensor Issues?

Thanks for the response. No I haven't done any tests and will have to check my Haynes to see the proceedure and specs. I took this direction because of a suggestion by a friend who had a similar problem and that was the solution for him. If not the TPS what else could be the cause as I hate to think this could be transmission related.

Default Want to Buy, TPS

Thanks for that,
I spoke to someone who asked me a few questions and he caused me to rethink the whole issue. When he asked me if I was getting an "engine code" I realized that I wasn't and if it, the TPS, was faulty I should have some code warning. He then went on to say that I should be looking at the fuel filter which might be in need of a change and clogging may be the problem and not the TPS. So obviously that is what I will do first because I have had the truck for only a year and a half and never changed it. Maybe just a little preventive maintenance will cure this issue.

Maybe you want to post a help thread in the CTD section?
