So I was driving my truck this afternoon...and noticed an annoying squeak.

It's a 2009 RAM 1500 5.7 HEMI Quad Cab 9150 miles on it.

As I drive over any bumps in the road I can hear this high pitch squeak coming from what sounds like the bed area. It's ranges from speeds from 5-25mph. I can only hear this when the rear sliding window is open. Has anyone had any similar issues? It's annoying since the weather is getting nicer and I enjoy driving with that rear window open but the squeak KILLS IT!

Mine does that too, its the tailgate. Put some grease or WD-40 on it like you would your doors and that should fix it for a while.

 

Thanks I will try that! I was worried it was something in the suspension. I have ON Blaster (loveeeee that stuff) and will use that tomorrow. Thanks.

 

I ended up putting some PB Blaster on there and it solved the issue for now and the squeaking has stopped for one day. So hopefully it stays away for awhile.
