Delay

Default Delay

Hey guys im new on the forum. I have a 09 ram 1500 4.7 and was wondering how to get rid of it. The truck runs great but when you floor it there is like a delay before it goes. Thanks for the help.

Do you want to get rid of the truck or the delay? Getting rid of the truck will cost you some $ but it's not hard to trade it in. If you want the hemi, it has the same delay. I found that if I hit the gas pedal a little slower, the delay is much less pronounced. Try going 1/2 throttle, then go the rest of the way to full when you feel the truck responding to the initial throttle setting

maybe just get a tuner ? My truck has no delay, hit the gas and it runs it's a$$ off...

Mine has the exact same problem, and Consumer Reports even mentioned it when they reviewed the '09's. I think it is a programming issue, so I'm sure a SC or Diablo would fix it, although I haven't done it because I'm too chicken-**** to risk my warranty.
