Pros-alot more light
Cons-alot more glare.
Make sure when you call you tell them you have a 4th gen Ram. They should be able to hook you up with the right harness and cancelers.
Or do it right and get projectors.
Oh...don't go over 5-6K bulbs.

Check out http://www.retrosolutionsllc.com/servlet/StoreFront
Guy's name is Todd, he makes a kit specific for rams, so you don't have the dreaded flickering issue. I have his kit, along with a set of projectors retrofitted in my headlights. They work great, and lifetime warranty on the nightvision and digital kits; ballasts and bulbs only.

ddm tuning is the only HID company I have had success with. However a few months back when I ordered mine, they didnt carry the bulb size my ram needed. Hid extra has been nothing but $h!t for me. I havent clicked on this retro fit link yet, but I will after I hit this post button
