Default Uconnect mute?

Anyone know how to un-mute the uconnect? If I am on the phone, then get in and start the truck it transfers to the uconnect but always displays "mute on". Pressing the uconnect buttons just disconnects the call. Any way to un-mute it so that I don't have to sit and wait to start my truck until my call is ended?

Odd. My phone doesn't connect muted. Oh well, in order to unmute the Uconnect manual says to press the 'voice recognition' button (looks like a face speaking) and, after the beep, say "mute off". That certainly isn't a procedure conducive to smooth transition into the vehicle, but the root of the problem is that your phone is connecting muted in the first place.

This is an issue with android based phones I think. I have iOS and android, so this is either unique to Samsung galaxy and note phones or all android...not sure

But I can repeat the exact same thing, on a call, walking up to my truck, start it get in, within a minute unconnect grabs the call and throws it on mute...for no apparent reason..perhaps with the Bluetooth transfer from phone to car...

Mine does that too.. it is a major PITA and one of the few things i don't like about this truck. BigBlueEdge is right, you press the VR button and say "mute off" and hope it understands you. I'm in the habit now of telling the person I'm talking to that there will be a pause or just hanging up, calling them back and saying the call dropped for some reason.

Something else to be aware of is the BT range - I've left the truck running with the wife inside while I run inside a store to grab something real quick, I take my phone with me. I'll get a call while I'm inside the store, and as I'm leaving the store the truck takes over the call - in this case it doesn't connect muted, but it may as well because I'm still 50 feet away yapping on my phone and the person on the other end can't hear me.
