Default need help with adding backup camera to existing navi.

hey guys, i have a newly installed factory navigation unit in my 09 quad cab sport.

right now everything is working. i installed it, ran the gps cable etc.

i want to add the factory backup camera kit. i just wanted to make sure i had the right connector on the back of the navigation unit before i go and order it?

the only spot left to hook a connector was a "bigger" opening similiar to what the wiring harness plugs into.. just looking for some insight. i looked at the mopar website, but the install instructions were pretty crappy image

If I remember right you just add a few wires into some open slots in the white connector. You don't plug in another harness into the back of the radio..

Personally the easiest way is to use a Lock Pick and then you don't have to have the dealer starscan or anything, you can use less expensive but just as good camera, you can also put a front camera very easily, you get the rear VES active is you want, uconnect works without a trip to dealer. for 190 online you can't really lose there are other benefits too, you get rca in and out you can use to hook up and ipod if you want or a computer or something else, you can make your radio play movies while driving for the passengers to watch but check with your local authorities. You get a 12 hot and and accessory connection so you don't have to worry about tapping into the canbus and messing something up when you know you just need 12 v.
