Default Towing Questions

I have a 2010 ram 1500 hemi 4x4. I'm going to be towing 7'x12' trailer with two sport quads. I looked in owner manual and they say put truck in neutral and something else about towing in 4x4 mode. Can't I just push the tow / haul button and just go. Please someone in lighten me.

I think what you read was if you were going to tow the truck. Just hit tow haul and you will be good with that trailer. If it is down shifting a lot just manually shift down a gear.

Yeah, towing a small open trailer with a pair of small ATVs will be quite EASY. You'll likely only need Tow/Haul mode if you are towing them through sizeable hills - 6-8% grades. Otherwise, stay out of T/H mode as it kills your MPG by keeping you out of overdrive and MDS.
I've the same basic setup, only with larger ATVs, and I'm sometimes looking in the mirrors to make sure they are still back there...

yeah putting your dif in neutral is for when you're towing your truck behind an RV or something. That won't give you much help when you're trying to pull a trailer...lol
