Default EZD versus EZH - what is the difference?

I have a 2009 hemi build date December 2008. Build sheet says it has the EZD engine - described as the VVT engine. I've looked at lot of posts here regarding the difference and most talk about the MDS system being different. I have the fuel saver light and never had any flash updates according to the Dodge website. I'm curious why the change from the EZD to the EZH?

I also have a 2008 build date but mine says I have the EZH with VCT and not VVT. I thought the EZD was VCT.
