Anybody make their own CAI? I know in the 3rd gen there were alot, but dont see any here. The guys in the 3rd gen were saying they were getting the same advantages for 1/3 the price.
Let me know,

Thanks

I custom plastic weld a lot of them for the 3rd Gen 4.7 and 5.7

They are PVC cut and plastic welded, welds smoothed with body filler, completely sanded down and primed to look all one piece.

The advantage is a thick walled plastic intake tube that doesnt heat up or retain heat like a thinner walled intake or metal and is truly a fraction of the cost of a K&N or S&B system.

They come in 3" and 4" although keep in mind the bottle neck will be at the TB inlet itself so a 4" is more for looks.

I have a 3" intake with a 4" S&M cone filter on mine.
