Bilsteins at highest setting
Anyone have the Bilstein 5100 front shocks set at the max height of 2.8 inches? Do you have any vibration? I done a lot of research on here and on Ramz Forum, but nothing that specifically answers this issue. I have the shocks installed now at the 1.4" setting, and it didn't even come close to leveling the truck.
Max setting will be .6" short, but hardly noticeable. I want the back end a tad bit higher anyways, but not 2", as it is now. I'm only concerned with vibrations and my half shafts. I thought about going ahead and moving up to the 2.8 inch setting and installing Kore high angle joints, but only if necessary.
Ideally, I would love a 4" lift and 35" tires. However, with having small kids trying to get into my truck and 3.55 gears being too high for 35"tires, 2.8" is enough. Plus, I want to stay with my 33s, not have to pay additional money to regear, which is an issue with the 2011 rear axles, and not have to pick up my kids to get them in and out of my truck. I was hoping someone on the forum had them set at the highest setting, but 2.1" seem to be the most popular setting.
