POI - Advance Auto has Pennzoil Platinuim, 5 qt jug, and a Purolator Pure 1 Filter on sale for about 31 bucks (total) with a $7 rebate on the oil, and a $3 rebate on the filter.

That works out to about $21. Have the wife or one of the kids buy another 5 qt jug, for about $20 after the rebate......

Not bad, and you have about 3 qts left for next time; or, buy another jug and filter, and you are ahead of the game.

I just bought 10 qts of Mobil 5000 for 27.90 that comes with a $14 rebate. This brings the cost down to $1.39 a qt. $5.75 for a Wix filter and it’s a $15.50 oil change. I do all my own oil changes.
