I was changing my tires on my '10 Ram 1500 (the stock ones didn't last long) and was checking out the stock rims. I HATE chrome and noticed the the entire rim isn't chrome/chrome plated or even silver colored as the '05 Colorado had. It looked as though the chrome outer layer on the ram was crimped on over the existing black rim. Anyone know if it can safely be taken off? If I can get that off then I want to paint the center cap black and paint the ram symbol red.
