I'm wondering why my mirror does not seem to dim. The auto dim in my 2003 worked way better even with a darker tint in my rear window. I have the factory tint in my 2012 and I can't notice any difference with the mirror on or off. Is mine malfunctioning or are these mirrors just crap?

Did you try using a flashlight on the mirror to make sure the sensors are working?
I'd do that first.
