Default iPod cable

I just bought a 2011 Ram SLT Quad Cab and like McDonalds, i'm lovin it! I would like to hook up a ipod cable and found one here: http://www.autotrucktoys.com/ram/Mop...-PRD30979.aspx
Has anyone used this before? In my build sheet it says i have a Uconnect radio, but i do no have the Uconnect features..... Can I still hook up this cable to work with my radio? Would it be in my best interest to just buy a new radio?

I don't have my work truck here right now as I'm on vacation so I don't know the model number but it's a basic radio. It has Uconnect as well but all that means on that particular radio is an iPod or the like can be plugged into the phone jack on the front and have the audio go through the trucks sound system. If you radio is like mine then all you need is a phono to phono to plug into your iphone's earphone jack. If in that link there's a dock connector to phono then I suppose that would work too. Which radio do you have?

well their description is quite vaque but based upon the statement below, I'd say not. This cable may be for older vehicles. You could try to get a user manual for it which should show where it actually plugs into:

Make your traveling or work commute more enjoyable with an iPod interface cable from Mopar. An OEM part, this interface cable is a great addition for any UConnect equipped Dodge Ram.

I guess that explains why they only show the dock connector end. Showing both ends would be too telling.
